Who is the NPQ Early Years Leadership (NPQEYL) aimed at?

Leaders who are, or are aspiring to be, a nursery manager, headteacher of a school-based or maintained nursery, or childminder with leadership responsibilities.

What will you learn?

You’ll develop expertise in the knowledge, skills and concepts for leading an early years setting. These include best practice around child development and additional and special educational needs, as well as culture, organisational management and partnerships you may make as the leader of an early years setting.

Modules include: Culture, implementation, organisational management, child development and curriculum, communication, language and literacy, personal, social and emotional development, assessment, additional special educational needs and disabilities, professional development, and working in partnership.

The NPQEYL course is delivered in partnership with either Teach First or the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT). Participants have the options of choosing either provider for this course, however, your lead provider would be NELT Teaching School Hub.

Cost

Teach First: £1,090

NIoT: £1,050

Schools with the highest 50% of pupil premium pupils, as well as early years and 16 to 19 educational settings identified as having high disadvantage, may be eligible for fully-funded NPQEYL places, subject to availability.
